This is a very interesting program for generating endgame tablebase also with 7 or more pieces, by Pedro Perez Romero:

For the more complex positions it is neverthless required a large hard disk and much time at disposal...

FinalGen is not a substitute of "classic" tablebase as Gaviota, Nalimov or RobboBase.
This program is useful for analysing a specified position with 7 (or more) pieces whereas the other TB cannot give a clear result.
On the homepage of his site, Pablo Perez Romero gives more informations on the use of the program.
For the moment it use only one core and works at 32 bit.
If the position is fairly complex, it can require also several hours and tens of GigaByte of memory on the hard disk. But if the time is not a problem...
Of course, after FinalGen has solved the position, it is better to delete the files for not quickly fill the hard disk.
