Flank Openings

Flank Openings
A Study of Reti's Opening, the Catalan, English and King's Indian Attack Complex

by Raymond Keene
PDF | 193 pages | 4.66 mb

Flank Openings are opening systems first developed by such players as Reti and Nimzowitsch,
in which the player of the white pieces concedes control of the center to Black, but then seeks to
undermine the center and cause it to collapse with attacks from the sides.
Grandmaster Raymond Keene explains the concepts and ideas behind these chess opening systems.

Keene has written (also co-authored) dozens of chess books. Some of them are very good, most are mediocre and some are downright bad. This is perhaps his best theoretical-analytical work. The fact that this is the fourth edition testifies to its success. Also, if I am not mistaken, it was Keene, in this book, who coined the phrase "flank openings".

Caissa - Thanks for the new link. Can you check it again? It doesn't work at all.

It did work for me, but in any case, here is a solid mirror:

Thank you ChessCaissa. Just a small advice, every time you put your links to adfly you should advice the members that if they have adblock they they do disable/pause it, otherwise the link won't work. I have a feeling that a good amount of members are missing up your uploads but they don't want to say anything. You can do this only for a few days until they all know this. Thank you again, and your uploads are welcome here too same as in immortal, you're good person.
