???

The zippyshare link in post #1 is well alive.

What is your question supposed to mean?

Can't you read properly or are you too lazy to skip through the thread and search for a working link?

Unbelievable!

LEARN CHESS THE RIGHT WAY

Hello my friends. I'm looking for vol 4and 5 of this series which are very good. Please if you have these two books upload that ,pleassee.many many thanks.

The Polgar Way to Better Chess!

Learn Chess the Right Way is a five-volume chess puzzle book series aimed at the novice, beginner and intermediate level player, using the unique methods of the award-winning coach and former world champion Susan Polgar. It introduces the most important checkmate and material-winning tactics, as well as defensive techniques to the new chess player. Each of the five volumes consist of over 500 puzzles.

Book 5 focuses on learning how to find the right continuation in critical positions of a chess game. In the first four books of this series, the reader was introduced to all the most important, basic elements of chess tactics to win material or to checkmate.

The first part of this book includes learning about special, more advanced themes such as “Zugzwang,” “Intermediate Moves,” and “Pawn Power.” Building on the knowledge acquired throughout this book series, in the second part of this volume, the reader can practice on familiar patterns. However, just as in the real game situation, there will be no hint which patterns to look for.

The goal is simple. Find a way to either checkmate or gain material. In most of the puzzles, you will need to think 2-4 pairs of moves ahead to find the correct solution.

With over 40 years of experience as a world-class player and coach, international grandmaster Susan Polgar has developed the most effective way to help young players and beginners – Learn Chess the Right Way. Let her show you the way to understanding the most common and critical patterns and let her show you the way to becoming a better player.
About the Author
SUSAN POLGAR is a winner of four Women’️s World Championships and the top-ranked woman chess player in the United States. She became the #1 woman player in the world at 15 and remained in the top 3 for over 20 years. In 2013, she received the U.S. Coach of the Year Award and the following year, she was named the Chess Trainer of the Year by the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Under her guidance, SPICE chess teams at both Texas Tech University and Webster University have won a combined six consecutive National Division I Collegiate Chess Championships.

Improving the Endgame Technique: Same-Colored Bishop Endgames (Book 1) by Valery Aveskulov (Author), Dmytro Kharuzin (Illustrator), Roman Jiganchine (Editor)

Thanks to the original uploader at Immortalchess.net and also to the producer of the two PGN versions (I seem to recall that it was kingfisher6.) sunny
I do not remember whether this PDF was produced from the Kindle edition or from Forward Chess. If so, perhaps the original uploader was gambit_man, so big thanks to him! sunny

Being an adherent of Mark Dvoretsky's method of coaching, I support his idea about the optimal way to study chess endgames. First, one needs to study the theory of a given type of endgame; secondly, a player needs to improve his or her practical skills with exercises. Nowadays, it is not a secret, that a lot of players ignore studying endgames. But since you are already reading this text, you are not one of them. Evidently, the question, that forced you to find this e-book, is "how to improve one's endgame skills?". You have already found some good books on the endgames and probably have read some of them, but you have an understandable fear, that when this or that endgame happens in your own game, you can forget most of what you have read. So, the next step is to turn the adopted knowledge from above-mentioned books and other sources - into your unconscious knowledge. Remember, that modern time controls do not give a chance to think deeply when you get to the endgame. Intuition plays a primary role in such conditions. Geniuses already have a good intuition, the rest of us should train a lot!
This e-book will provide you with a lot of exercises to achieve the goal. You will see both simple basic things and then more and more difficult examples, in which even deep analysis does not answer the question of “is this winning or drawn?”. Most examples in the book were given to author's students during the lessons and together they have been finding more and more improvements, interesting ideas, refutations and so on. The e-book provides quite a good quality of analytics, since hours were spent for most of examples. But even considering this, you can read there, that holes are possible. Author does not claim to close the topic; he just opens the veil of OCBE, shares his thoughts and gives concrete advice about how to take decisions in OCBE.
After reading this e-book you will definitely feel a desire to enter to OCBE much more frequently than you used to do earlier!

FM Arne Jochens is back by popular demand! After receiving rave reviews on his first seminar about punishing positional mistakes, Arne decided to teach a second installment. This live online seminar was held on September 30th, 2018 and has been recorded for students to review at their own pace.

Title: Punishing Positional Mistakes Part 2
Tuition: $18
Level: 1500-2000 Elo

This 108-minute class focuses on positional mistakes with pawn structures that often occur in club level games. Learning these positional patterns will enable students to avoid making those mistakes in their own games and punish their opponents' mistakes.

The examples shown are used to extract some general rules about positional play. Students are given the chance to immediately apply this knowledge in some carefully selected training positions. FM Jochens fields questions from viewers in the very last segment of the course.

WHY THIS COURSE WAS CREATED?

The attack is an art that every chess player should master. When we play a chess game it is very important to have the ability to start an attack in order to win the game. Many students have the problem on how to start the attack and deliver the final blow. They do not know how to provoke a weakness into his opponent’s King.
In this course, GM Igor Smirnov together with CM Tryfon will teach you the strategies and tactics of attacking. At the end of this course you will have all the necessary abilities and understanding in order to start a successful attack against an opponent of any level!

Is this course right for me?

The course is suitable for beginners and intermediate level players, but it will be helpful for advanced level players, too. Even if your ELO is 1900+, this course will help you improve your attacking skills and you’ll learn some new things.

What you will learn?

How to plan an attack?
How to set the target for my attack?
What pieces should I include in the attack?
How to find the right attacking moves?
How can I get an attacking position?
How to finish the attack?
CONTENTS:

The Full English Opening Mastering the Fundamentals

It has been pointed out to me (many thanks to Miguel36) that when I converted this book I made an error in assembling the html files before converting, and the result was that Chapter 3 was completely missing from the PDF, EPUB and MOBI (the PGN was OK). I have now corrected this error, re-converted the book and replaced the links in post#1 to point at downloads of the full book including chapter 3.

So if anyone has already downloaded the PDF, EPUB or MOBI please check that it actually includes Chapter 3. The contents will show an entry for Chapter 3 but if you click on it nothing happens as that chapter is missing from the book. If that is the case please download again from the new links in post #1 so that you will have the full book.

Apologies for this and for any inconvenience. I do try hard to make sure my work is accurate, but occasionally an error is made....we are all human !!

Nobody is perfect,
Thank you,

looking for two chess book pgn files (Nunn and Ault books)

BubblesTheFish wrote:Hi,

New user here, great website.  I am a chess novice, always had an interest in the game and now trying to improve beyond the base level.

Anyway, I chose 2 books to start my study with (I already have PDF of both, at least one I found here!).  I would like to have PGN file to accompany each book, which I feel would improve study quality.  I did a google search to try to find each pgn myself, but I was unable to find a pgn for either of these books.

Book #1 I start with:
The Chess Tutor: Elements of Combinations by Leslie H. Ault.  I would like to have PGN for it.

Book #2 is:
Understanding Chess Move by Move - by John Nunn
This book also seems excellent to start with, and PGN would be ideal for this book because he commentates every move from 1. to end.  So I would just read his analysis and click thru the pgn move-by-move and "see" the move on the board.

Thanks in advance, appreciate your efforts to share chess info would everyone.  Best regards.

Here are both PGN's in a single file:

chesslike458 wrote:Could anyone post the link again? The links aren't working

All,

As there have been many requests for this I have re-uploaded the complete mega bundle: Beginner Level, Intermediate Level and Advanced Level  -  all 106 lessons  (7.1Gb).    For a detailed breakdown of the contents see post #1 of this thread.  Please download this quickly as the links will not last long and I will not re-upload it all again as it took a long time !!

All thanks to the original uploaders and re-posters in Immortal Forum, which is where this came from originally:
